IMMONTEC is proud to announce that our CEO, Peter van Westendorp, represented the company at the workshop “Fundamentals for the Management of an Immersed Tunnel Project,” held from October 29 to 31 in Itajaí, Brazil. The event was organized by the ITACET Foundation, in collaboration with the World Bank and Cimamfri.

The workshop provided an in-depth overview of the design, construction, and operational aspects of immersed road tunnels, with a strong focus on the specialized knowledge required to successfully deliver these complex infrastructure projects. From initial concept to long-term maintenance, the sessions highlighted both the challenges and innovations that define underwater tunneling.
